VibeLux covers a lot of ground, and not all of it is at the same stage. Rather than make you parse paragraphs, this page states the status of every capability in one place — including the parts that are still demos or roadmap.
Last verified August 19, 2026 — a route-by-route audit of the production codebase (July 31), reconciled with every change shipped since. Spot something that doesn't match your experience? Tell us — inaccuracies here are treated as bugs.
The free-to-start core of the platform. Everything here is real computation — the honest caveat is measured-photometry coverage.
| Capability | Status | The honest note |
|---|---|---|
| Photometric designer | Live | Free tier: 1 room, 10 fixtures, JSON export. Paid tiers unlock the rest. |
| Advanced Designer & CAD workspace | Live | Advanced mode on Solo and up; the CAD workspace on Starter and up. |
| DLC fixture library (2,436 entries; ~1,330 DLC-active) | Live | Static snapshot of the DLC hort QPL dated May 2025 — not a live sync. Delisted fixtures are hidden by default in the designer; the active count is what you can actually spec. |
| PPFD / DLI / uniformity engine | Live | Validated point-by-point engine with unit tests. Corrected Jul 2026 — headline stats are canopy-inset (2 ft) while the canvas overlay is whole-room; both were right but unlabeled, so readouts looked contradictory. Every surface now labels its basis. Accuracy depends on the row below. |
| Measured-IES photometry | Needs hardware / onboarding | Upload your vendor IES files per fixture; without them, results use a disclosed beam approximation. |
| Spectrum engine & light recipes | Live | Spectra are derived from DLC reported flux ratios, not lab-measured SPDs. |
| 3D visualization & ray tracing | Live | Interactive three.js walk-through; Monte Carlo ray tracing on Professional and up. |
| DXF & IFC import / export | Live | Starter and up. DWG is not supported — convert to DXF first. |
| PDF photometric reports | Live | Solo and up. Includes plan sets and BOM. |
| Solar / greenhouse DLI modeling | Live | Modeled from location climate tables; flagged as approximate outside the covered ZIP database. |
| AI Design Studio | Live | Text prompt to first-pass layout, refined by hand in the designer. Uses AI credits. |
| Electrical & MEP suite | Preview (demo data) | Working calculators and scaffolds; full construction-document workflows are in development. |
| Live digital twin & CFD | Roadmap | Design-side 3D is live today; the operations twin is in development and CFD is on hold. |
Dashboards only show real readings — where there is no data yet you get an empty state, not an invented chart.
| Capability | Status | The honest note |
|---|---|---|
| Sensor ingest over HTTPS | Live | Any device that can POST JSON with a device key writes straight into your telemetry. |
| Aranet Cloud sync | Needs hardware / onboarding | Needs an Aranet base station and cloud account; syncs every 15 minutes. |
| Bridge meter reading (Modbus TCP) | Needs hardware / onboarding | Read via the outbound-only on-prem bridge agent. |
| Live dashboards & streaming | Live | Server-sent events over your stored readings. |
| Historian & multi-pen trends | Live | Works once control points are bound; unbound points return no samples rather than fake ones. |
| BMS console | Early access | The demo banner disappears automatically once a real facility is connected. |
| HMI operations screens | Preview (demo data) | Sample process graphics while live bindings are built out. |
| Threshold alerts & alarms | Live | In-app notifications and webhooks today. Automated email / SMS delivery is on the roadmap. |
| Sensor anomaly detection | Needs hardware / onboarding | Statistical detection over your history — it tells you exactly how many readings it still needs. |
| Chlorophyll fluorescence log | Live | Fv/Fm, ΦPSII, ETR, NPQ, qP and qL stored against a facility, zone and batch. Metrics are recomputed server-side from the raw F-values, so a stored number always matches its measurement. |
| Fluorometer CSV import | Live | PhotosynQ MultispeQ, LI-COR LI-600, Walz PAM and our own export. Previews before writing; re-importing the same file is a no-op. |
| Continuous canopy fluorescence sensors | Needs hardware / onboarding | Ingest endpoint and field mapping are built for Gardin Pulse; needs a vendor account and API credentials to switch on. |
| Spectroradiometer ingest (measured spectra) | Needs hardware / onboarding | POST measured canopy spectra against a zone; R:FR, band shares, and PPFD are derived at ingest, and outcome models prefer measured spectra over commanded recipes wherever readings exist. |
The strictest section on this page. Where VibeLux can move real equipment today, it says so; where it only records intent, it says that too.
| Capability | Status | The honest note |
|---|---|---|
| Zone dimming via Modbus TCP | Needs hardware / onboarding | Real register writes to your lighting controller; requires a gateway or the bridge, and explicit enablement. |
| Irrigation control (OpenSprinkler) | Needs hardware / onboarding | Station on / off through the bridge; client verified against firmware 2.2.1. |
| Climate-computer setpoints (Priva) | Early access | Adapter and secure connect flow are built; live dispatch is still being validated with hardware. |
| Push-to-lights (HLP fixtures) | Preview (demo data) | Runs in simulation mode today; the bridge speaks the protocol, live dispatch is not yet enabled. |
| Closed-loop climate (PID) | Preview (demo data) | Client-side simulation only — no loop writes to devices. Humidity / CO2 loops are planned and safety-review gated. |
| Operating modes, overrides & runtime records | Live | Hand-Off-Auto states, mode transitions, and irrigation runtime are recorded and audited — they do not actuate equipment yet. |
| Weather-adaptive lighting & spray windows | Live | Advisory recommendations over live weather. Nothing dispatches automatically. |
Produce food-safety workflows are the live half; cannabis seed-to-sale is the roadmap half.
| Capability | Status | The honest note |
|---|---|---|
| Food-safety workspace (HACCP / GMP / training / pesticide logs) | Live | Certificates, deviations, and CCP monitoring on one dashboard. |
| Batch chain-of-custody & COA log | Live | One-up / one-back tracing with manually entered batch codes. |
| AI COA reading (PDF or photo) | Live | AI extracts the printed analytes; a deterministic pipeline validates every value. Uses AI credits. |
| Lab results workspace & CSV import | Live | Prisma-backed with bulk import. |
| Compliance audit trail | Live | Actions are logged; the viewer is admin-only today, an operator-facing view is planned. |
| IPM treatments & re-entry lockout | Live | Professional tier or the IPM add-on. Spray records block station sign-in during re-entry intervals and block harvest during pre-harvest intervals; unknown safety states fail closed. |
| Crop steering profiles | Live | Veg / generative / balanced targets per zone, on Professional. |
| Seed-to-sale & METRC | Roadmap | The METRC API client and credential flow exist; sync does not write records yet and the pages show demo data. |
| Lab API feeds (SC Labs, Steep Hill) | Roadmap | Import today is manual entry, CSV, or AI COA reading. |
| E-signatures & 21 CFR Part 11 | Roadmap | Not started. |
Quietly one of the most-shipped areas of the platform.
| Capability | Status | The honest note |
|---|---|---|
| Time clock with GPS stamp | Live | Clock in / out and breaks with daily timesheets. |
| Task assignment & tracking | Live | Assign to employees, track completion. |
| Mobile scouting with AI pest ID | Live | GPS-tagged photo reports with PDF export; AI identification is an add-on and shows a labeled sample when not enabled. |
| Station sign-in with spray re-entry blocking | Live | Signing in to a zone under an active Restricted Entry Interval is refused outright; a supervisor can override for a trained, PPE-equipped early-entry worker and the override is recorded. The check fails closed — if re-entry safety cannot be verified, entry is refused rather than allowed. |
| SOP library with check-ins | Live | Starter SOP text is curated content until you seed your own. |
| Labor-cost analytics & timesheet approval | Live | Costs computed in-app; no payroll-provider export yet. |
| Employee roster & invites | Live | Add staff, set hourly rates, invite them to the app. |
| Shift scheduling | Live | Weekly schedule per employee. Corrected Jul 2026 — this shipped and was still being described as a preview. |
| Training & certification expiry tracking | Live | Modules, completion records, and certificate expiry dates. |
| QR-code scanning | Roadmap | Workers type the zone code from the placard today; camera scanning is planned. |
| Skills-based task assignment | Roadmap | Required skills are stored on a task but nothing matches staff against them yet. |
| Payroll export & overtime tracking | Roadmap | Timesheets stop at approved; overtime hours are not yet calculated. |
Transparent methods over your own data. Where a statistical minimum is not met, the platform refuses to guess.
| Capability | Status | The honest note |
|---|---|---|
| Yield forecasting from your harvest history | Live | Regression with prediction intervals; requires at least 6 completed cycles and says so. |
| Env → Outcome regression | Live | Real statistics engine: p-values, diagnostics, confound detection, a cultivar mixed model, and same-room change analysis. Shows a labeled synthetic example until you select your own analyte. |
| Generated trial designs | Live | When a driver is confounded, the analysis proposes a runnable split-zone crossover or staggered-start plan, powered from the actual levels, outcome noise, and cycle lengths of your zones. |
| Photosynthesis vs. environment correlation | Live | Ranks climate and light features against measured Fv/Fm, ΦPSII, ETR and NPQ. Reports how many readings could actually be tied to a zone's climate rather than implying every one was. |
| AI assistant grounded in your facility | Live | Answers from your actual rooms, sensors, harvests, and energy data. Uses AI credits. |
| Historical data import (CSV / Excel) | Live | Parse, column-map, and write into your telemetry history. |
| Peer benchmarking | Early access | Real cross-facility percentiles and an anonymous network response model, behind a subscription; cohorts are still small in early access. |
| Energy monitoring | Live | Real meter data only — shows inactive rather than a fabricated series. |
| Utility interval data (UtilityAPI) | Needs hardware / onboarding | Authorize your utility account once; 15-minute interval data syncs on a schedule. |
| Energy optimization dispatch | Needs hardware / onboarding | Queued optimization that acts through the bridge; needs connected equipment. |
| Verified savings & revenue-share billing | Roadmap | The billing engine exists behind a kill switch until baselines are independently validated. |
| Trained ML models | Roadmap | Current predictions use transparent statistical and rule-based methods — no trained model is deployed today. |
Subscriptions, recipe sales, and produce orders all transact through Stripe today.
| Capability | Status | The honest note |
|---|---|---|
| Subscriptions & billing (Stripe) | Live | All tiers, à-la-carte modules, and credit packs. |
| Produce marketplace | Early access | Listings, a real accept / pay / fulfill / delivery-confirm order workflow, and online Stripe checkout with seller payouts via Stripe Connect. |
| Recipe marketplace | Early access | Live Stripe payments; sellers onboard through Stripe Connect. |
| Recipe trial licensing | Early access | Purchase flow exists; listings are onboarding now. |
| Equipment auctions (SecondBloom) | Live | Handled by our external partner SecondBloom — VibeLux links out rather than running its own equipment marketplace. |
| Affiliate program | Live | Registration, Stripe Connect payouts, and tracking. |
| Investor RevShare matching | Roadmap | The direction we are building for equipment financing; investor screens today are demos. |
If software can touch your equipment, you deserve blunt answers. These reflect how the system is actually built today.
Through an on-prem bridge agent that only dials out — cryptographically paired, no inbound ports opened on your network. It supports Modbus TCP, HLP lighting, OpenSprinkler control, and read-only MQTT, BACnet/IP, OPC UA, and REST/JSON telemetry.
Your equipment keeps its last state — lights and controllers hold whatever they were last told, and your local controllers keep running their own programs. The bridge does not yet execute schedules locally during an outage; that autonomy layer is on the roadmap, and until it ships we recommend keeping native controller schedules as the failsafe.
Hand-Off-Auto override states exist, are permission-gated, expire, and are recorded — but today they record intent rather than actuating hardware. Your electrical panel and controller-level overrides remain the authoritative stop. The in-app emergency stop is a software command lockout, and the UI says exactly that.
Yes. Every bridge command, setpoint change, alarm-band edit, and device mode change is written to dedicated audit tables, along with a platform-wide compliance audit trail.
In-app notifications and webhooks fire automatically on threshold violations today. Automated email / SMS delivery is built but not yet wired to the alert engine — it is on the near-term roadmap, and this page will say so when it ships.
Control endpoints require an operator-or-higher role on the specific facility being controlled, plus the relevant module entitlement, and every command target is checked against that facility before dispatch — so a command cannot cross from one site to another. Live dispatch additionally stays off behind server-side enablement flags, meaning nothing reaches your equipment by default. Enterprise SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning, and third-party penetration testing are not in place yet; we will say so here when they are.
More on authentication, encryption, and tenant isolation on the security page.
The complete list. If an integration is not here, it is not supported yet — no matter where its name appears. “In validation” means the code exists and is being proven against real hardware or vendor accounts before we call it live.
| Integration | Status | Direction | What you need |
|---|---|---|---|
| Modbus TCP (lighting, meters, VFD/AHU) | Live | Read + control | Controller or gateway; bridge agent for LAN devices. Covers Modbus energy meters such as Schneider PM5500 and Siemens PAC. |
| Aranet Cloud | Live | Read | Aranet base station + cloud account |
| OpenSprinkler | Live | Control | OpenSprinkler controller + bridge agent |
| Generic HTTPS telemetry API | Live | Read + write | Anything that can POST canonical JSON can ingest data; Professional/Enterprise API keys can export facility-scoped readings with time, point, connector, and type filters |
| UtilityAPI (meters & bills) | Live | Read | One-time utility account authorization |
| OpenWeather + NOAA advisories | Live | Read | Nothing — served through our proxy |
| Stripe (billing & marketplace payouts) | Live | Read + write | Nothing |
| Twilio (SMS / voice) | Live | Write | Nothing; automated alert delivery is on the roadmap |
| HLP — Horticulture Lighting Protocol v1.1 | In validation | Control | Bridge agent on the facility LAN; UI runs in simulation mode today |
| MQTT (generic) | In validation | Read | Your broker + outbound-only bridge agent; no turnkey vendor topic maps yet |
| REST / JSON polling (generic) | In validation | Read | Outbound-only bridge agent, a reachable HTTP(S) JSON endpoint, and operator-verified JSON paths, scaling, and units. GET-only; HTTPS is required for credentials unless insecure transport is explicitly accepted. |
| Priva (Connext / Compact CC) | In validation | Read + control | Priva controller on a reachable network; being validated with hardware |
| GrowLink Cloud | In validation | Read | GrowLink controller + approved API tier |
| TrolMaster Cloud | In validation | Read (planned) | Hydro-X + developer key; command set deliberately unmapped until verified |
| METRC | In validation | Read + write | State credentials; sync does not write records yet |
| QuickBooks Online | In validation | Read + write | OAuth connection |
| SC Labs / Steep Hill lab feeds | Roadmap | Read | Use manual entry, CSV, or AI COA reading today |
| BACnet/IP | In validation | Read | Outbound-only bridge agent plus an operator-verified object map. Supports local discovery, fixed addresses, and BBMD foreign-device registration for routed facilities; no BACnet writes. |
| OPC UA (generic) | In validation | Read | Outbound-only bridge agent, reachable opc.tcp endpoint, exported and operator-verified NodeIds, server/client certificate trust, and optional read-only credentials; no writes or browsing. |
| Argus | Roadmap | — | No native driver. An Argus controller that exposes Modbus TCP can connect over that path today. |
| Siemens Desigo via generic BACnet/IP | In validation | Read | Requires an exported, operator-verified BACnet object map and bridge network access; not a vendor-certified Desigo integration. |
| Siemens S7 via generic OPC UA | In validation | Read | Requires an S7 OPC UA server, exported and operator-verified NodeIds, bridge network access, and certificate trust; generic read-only transport, not a vendor-certified Siemens integration. Siemens PAC meters also work through Modbus TCP above. |
| Demand response / OpenADR | Roadmap | — | Optimization math exists; no utility program connection yet |
| KNX / LoRaWAN / Zigbee / Z-Wave / Onset HOBO | Roadmap | — | These appear in some device lists but have no transport today |
Everything in the “Live” column is yours to try. Start with a room layout and a PPFD map — no credit card, no demo data.
