Last verified August 19, 2026 — a route-by-route audit of the production codebase (July 31), reconciled with every change shipped since. Spot something that doesn't match your experience? Tell us — inaccuracies here are treated as bugs.

If software can touch your equipment, you deserve blunt answers. These reflect how the system is actually built today.
Through an on-prem bridge agent that only dials out — cryptographically paired, no inbound ports opened on your network. It supports Modbus TCP, HLP lighting, OpenSprinkler control, and read-only MQTT, BACnet/IP, OPC UA, and REST/JSON telemetry.
Your equipment keeps its last state — lights and controllers hold whatever they were last told, and your local controllers keep running their own programs. The bridge does not yet execute schedules locally during an outage; that autonomy layer is on the roadmap, and until it ships we recommend keeping native controller schedules as the failsafe.
Hand-Off-Auto override states exist, are permission-gated, expire, and are recorded — but today they record intent rather than actuating hardware. Your electrical panel and controller-level overrides remain the authoritative stop. The in-app emergency stop is a software command lockout, and the UI says exactly that.
Yes. Every bridge command, setpoint change, alarm-band edit, and device mode change is written to dedicated audit tables, along with a platform-wide compliance audit trail.
In-app notifications and webhooks fire automatically on threshold violations today. Automated email / SMS delivery is built but not yet wired to the alert engine — it is on the near-term roadmap, and this page will say so when it ships.
Control endpoints require an operator-or-higher role on the specific facility being controlled, plus the relevant module entitlement, and every command target is checked against that facility before dispatch — so a command cannot cross from one site to another. Live dispatch additionally stays off behind server-side enablement flags, meaning nothing reaches your equipment by default. Enterprise SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning, and third-party penetration testing are not in place yet; we will say so here when they are.
