Substrate Calculator

What it does

A substrate monitor for water content, EC, temperature and pH by sensor. It shows simulated demo data unless a substrate probe posts to the facility, in which case it shows live dryback per zone.

When to use it

Use it to compare substrate readings with target ranges for rockwool, coco or soil and to review dryback from connected probes.

How it calculates

• Status: Dry below 40% water content, Wet above 80%, Warning if EC is above 3.5 or below 1.5
• Target ranges by substrate: rockwool 60–80% WC, EC 2.0–3.0, pH 5.5–6.0; coco 50–70%, EC 1.5–2.5, pH 5.8–6.2; soil 40–60%, EC 1.0–2.0, pH 6.0–7.0
• Live dryback % and field capacity are computed on the server from connected probe readings over the last 48 hours
