Compliance & Safety
Estimates annual testing volume, compliance cost and training hours from your program parameters. It does not track FSMA records or manage a HACCP plan — the Audit-Readiness index is an unvalidated heuristic.
A budgeting tool for a food-safety program. Two terms to know: a "critical control point" (CCP) is a step in your process where a hazard must be controlled — a wash, a temperature hold — and it comes from HACCP, the standard hazard-analysis framework; FSMA is the US federal food-safety law. This tool estimates how many product tests you will run in a year, what compliance will cost, and the training hours it implies. It does not keep any records or build a HACCP plan.
When budgeting or staffing a food-safety program for a produce or processing operation — sizing your annual testing spend and training load. Crop-agnostic. It is a planning estimate only; the actual FSMA records and HACCP plan live elsewhere, not here.
Annual Tests = your testing frequency (weekly through quarterly) times your number of control points — more frequent testing and more CCPs both drive it up. Estimated Compliance Cost multiplies those tests by your cost-per-test and adds a rough $500/employee overhead, so the per-test cost you enter matters most. Training Hours scales with headcount. The Audit-Readiness Index is explicitly an unvalidated heuristic (more frequent testing and more CCPs nudge it up) — treat it as a rough self-check, not an audit prediction or a compliance guarantee.
