Environmental & Climate
Dynamic setpoint adjustment based on weather forecasts for proactive environment control.
Instead of reacting to your greenhouse after the weather has already changed, this tool takes tomorrow's forecast (outside temperature, humidity, wind, and sunshine) and suggests where to pre-position your climate equipment. VPD ("vapor pressure deficit") is the drying power of the air the crop feels — how thirsty the air is; keeping it in a target band keeps the plant transpiring steadily without wilting or staying too wet.
For greenhouses (not sealed indoor rooms) where the outside weather actually drives what your vents, shade screens, heaters and dehumidifiers have to do. Reach for it before a forecast heat spike, cold snap, or a bright day, to see roughly where setpoints should land. It is crop-agnostic — you tell it the crop's target temperature and VPD.
The outputs are a starting setpoint sheet, not an autopilot: Heating and Cooling setpoints bracket your crop target; Vent Position opens as it gets hotter outside than your target; Shade Deploy only kicks in above ~600 W/m² of sun; and the Dehumidification Target is the RH implied by your target VPD at your target temperature. Use these as sanity-check values to program into your controller, then watch actual room conditions — the model uses simple linear rules, so treat a 100% vent or shade reading as "wide open," not a precise commanded position.
