Deterministic diurnal high/low and natural DLI estimate from a current reading and latitude. Applies fixed diurnal offsets — it is not a live forecast API or a learned model.
"Diurnal" means the daily rise and fall between day and night. Given one current outside temperature and your latitude, this tool sketches the expected daytime high, nighttime low, and how much natural sunlight energy (DLI) a clear sky would deliver. "DLI" (Daily Light Integral) is the total amount of usable light a plant receives over a full day, in mol/m²/day. It is a rough planning sketch, not a weather forecast — despite the "AI" name it applies fixed offsets, it does not call a forecast service or learn from data.
For rough planning only — a back-of-envelope feel for tomorrow's temperature swing and how much free sunlight a greenhouse might get. Useful for any greenhouse where natural light offsets your supplemental lighting. Do not use it for real operational decisions: for those, use an actual weather forecast, because this ignores clouds, fronts, and season.
Estimated High and Low come straight from your current reading (+7°F / −13°F) — if that reading is not a typical mid-value the estimate will be off. Estimated Natural DLI is a clear-sky ceiling: on a cloudy day you will get far less, so treat it as the most sunlight you could receive, not what you will. Est. Energy Savings is a generic placeholder that grows with the forecast horizon, not a modeled result — ignore it for budgeting. For a real supplemental-lighting target, pair the DLI estimate with the DLI Analysis tool.
